Tread Lightly! 101

Today I took an online class by treadlightly.org called Tread Lightly! 101. I learned about this course on the forums at OverlandBound.com. It was a short, easy and free course that is a good reminder to, well, tread lightly. A reminder to “respect and protect.” It also covers some good old fashioned etiquette.

It covers many different outdoor activities. Includeing:

• 4×4’ing
• Fishing
• Shooting
• ATV
• Camping
• Dirt Biking
• Drones
• Hiking
• Hunting
• And more.

The course only takes about 45 minutes and can be done on a computer or phone. I tried both a computer with Google Chrome and my Iphone 7 plus, and it worked fine on both. The only problem with both was that it seemed to miss the end part of the very first section, a section asking about you and how you came upon the course. No big deal, it worked fine for the actual course. You can go directly to the courses page here: treadlightly101. After clicking on the “start training now” button it will take you to a new page to sign up and take the course.

When you complete the course you will be presented with a PDF certificate that you can add your name and date to.
