All about my growth as a photographer.
I consider myself a beginner in photography. I had grown up enjoying using point and shoot cameras. In 1993 I bought a Canon EOS Rebel 35mm camera kit and enjoyed shooting in auto mode. As camera phones became common and photo developing began to disappear, I set it aside.
In 2021 I bought a Nikon D5600! And am learning to use manual mode! I am enjoying using a “real” camera. There is just something about having complete control, even if I’m not as good as the AI can do…yet.
In 2026 Melinda wanted some granddaughter pictures so we put together a portable portrait studio.
In 2024 I got a Sigma 200-600mm lens! Now I can really get those little birds and animals that are too shy to pose up close.
